The Cheese Factory
The Cheese factory, inspired by the ancestral knowledge of the cheese, produces sheep cheese, goat cheese and curd cheese respecting the know-how of generations of cheese makers in facilities that allow teh production of cheeses and curd cheeses in a safe and clean way.
Milk bought directly from the producer, selected raw materials and a clear commitment to training and innovation continuously to produce cheeses of excellence in a safe and clean way, and satisfy our customers’ needs, as well as increasing our competitiveness.
The region of Serpa is known for the excellence of its sheep’s cheese, whose production goes way back in time. The art and know-how of cheese makers has been passed from generation to generation and leading to what is today a unique product typical of the region of Serpa.
LOCATED IN VILA NOVA DE SÃO BENTO WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA OF SERPA CHEESE PRODUCTION, WITH RECENT INSTALLATIONS AND MODERN EQUIPMENT TO ENSURE THE PRODUCTION OF TOP QUALITY CHEESES, RESPECTING THE KNOW-HOW OF GENERATIONS.
The Cheese Factory
Located in Vila Nova de S. Bento, in the Serpa municipality, it has a privileged location with favorable conditions for sheep and goat cheese production.
It enjoys of the uniqueness of the region, determining factor in the art and know-how of one of the characteristic products of the region – The Sheep Cheese.
The Serpa region is renowned for the excellence of its sheep cheeses, whose production dates back to time immemorial. The art and know-how from cheesemakers were passed from generation to generation and culminated in what is now a unique and typical product of Serpa region.
Produced in the geographical area of Serpa cheese production , the EIRA DA VILA cheeses result of a refined sensitivity, the sequential performance of different manufacturing steps, closing itself a multitude of know-how.
The “Eira da Vila Cheese factory foundation, dedicated from the beginning to the production of sheep and goat cheeses achieved a rapid growth and highlight. Factors that allowed us to develop a well-prepared production structure already consolidated in the regional and national market
